Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

The Center of Excellence in Co-Occurring Medicine is expanding! We are looking for a full-time psychiatric nurse practitioner to join our team. Our outpatient clinic located in Beaverton, Oregon, provides compassionate care and evidence-based treatment for patients with mental health concerns and addictions. We also see patients through telepsychiatry. The benefits of joining our practice include:

The focus of this position is on medication management using psychiatric expertise to address behavioral health and substance abuse issues. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate, assess, treat and educate patients with various psychiatric needs.
  • Develop care plans and treatment goals.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications.
  • Manage patient care.
  • Document clinical notes in the clinic’s electronic health records system.

Qualifications: 

  • Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Computer skills.
  • Free of disciplinary actions.
  • Willingness to become a DATA-waiver practitioner (obtain the DATA 2000 waiver to prescribe buprenorphine in office-based settings for patients with opiate dependence).
  • Willingness to practice telepsychiatry.

Required licenses: 

  • Medical license in OR.
  • DEA permit in OR.

Preferred licenses: 

  • Medical license in WA (to see patients in WA through telepyschiatry).
  • DEA permit in WA (to prescribe medication for patients in WA seen through telepyschiatry).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $130,000-150,000 /year

CNA – Patient Care Coordinator

CNA – Patient Care Coordinator

The Center of Excellence in Co-Occurring Medicine (COE) continues to expand. COE is an outpatient psychiatric and addiction clinic. We have a 25 hour per week position that will lead to full time. This applicant will join our growing team of patient care coordinators. We are looking for someone with a CNA certification in Oregon. Our outpatient clinic located in Beaverton, Oregon, provides compassionate care and evidence-based treatment for patients with mental health concerns and addictions. We also see patients through telepsychiatry.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs delegated clinical and administrative duties within the supervising psychiatrist’s scope of practice consistent with the CNA’s education, training, and demonstrated competency. This includes taking and recording vital signs, medication management, assisting with scheduling, preparing rooms, sitting in on psychiatric evaluations and assisting providers when instructed. In addition, the CNA assists in maintaining the practice environment in a clean, orderly condition. Functions as an integral member of the team by contributing to new ideas for improving customer service and reducing costs. Provides high quality customer service to both external and internal customers that meet or exceeds the service standards of the health care industry. This duty includes prompt and professional communication efforts, face-to-face patient contact skills, flexible coverage of internal service needs and the continuous application of process improvement methods and skills for office services. Strong computer skills are a must. This position will be working with multiple EHR systems.
